Battle of The Books (B.O.B) is a club where you have to read around twenty-seven books. They have a competition in February against Currituck County Middle School. The team consists of about twelve members. I interviewed Chloe, Mackenzie, and Akaysia about how they feel about reading and B.O.B The team is like a family. Chloe Chloe was team captain this past year. She thinks It’s hard and rewarding. It’s hard because you have to read the books and remember what you read and the authors. Her favorite B.O.B book is Airborn by Kenneth Opel because every chapter makes you read more. She wants to be on the team next year to because she has a lot of fun and enjoys reading. She feels a good team was picked because there were many strong readers.
Mackenzie Mackenzie signed up for B.O.B because she loves reading. Her favorite part was reading new books and making friends with the people she didn’t know on the team. She also wants to be on the B.O.B team next year because she love to read. Her favorite B.O.B book is Out Of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper because it teaches you to never give up. She reads everywhere like in the car, on the bus, and late at night.
Akaysia Akaysia did B.O.B this year because she likes reading. Her favorite part of it is studying and the competition. She does not feel ready for competition and thinks they should work together better. She wasn’t nervous about competition because she has done B.O.B before. Her favorite B.O.B book is Out Of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper because its very touching.Battle of the Books seems like an interesting team to be on right?
